  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 large Yellow onion(chopped)
  • 2 ribs Celery(diced)
  • 2 medium Carrots(peeled and julienned or diced)
  • 3 cups Green cabbage(shredded)
  • 3 tablespoons Tomato paste
  • 2 medium Dill pickles(diced)
  • 2 tablespoons Capers
  • 12 pitted Kalamata olives
  • 3 Bay leaves
  • 4 Allspice berries
  • 2 Cardamom pods
  • 1/3 cup Fresh dill(chopped)
  • 1/4 cup Dill pickle juice
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black pepper
  • for garnish Sour cream
  • for garnish Lemon(sliced)
