  • 3 liters Water
  • 3 ears Corn on the cob(cut into 2-inch pieces)
  • 4 large Potatoes(peeled and cut into large chunks)
  • 3 large Carrots(peeled and cut into large chunks)
  • 500 g Yuca (Cassava)(peeled and cut into large chunks)
  • 2 medium Sweet potatoes(peeled and cut into large chunks)
  • 200 g Taro root (Malanga)(peeled and cut into large chunks)
  • 2 medium Ripe plantains(peeled and cut into thick slices)
  • 1 large Onion(quartered)
  • 1 large Bell pepper(seeded and quartered)
  • 1 bunch Cilantro(tied with kitchen twine)
  • 4 cloves Garlic(smashed)
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black pepper
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
