- 2 l Water
- 3 medium Potatoes(peeled and cubed)
- 1 large Onion(diced)
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 200 ml Sauerkraut juice
- 2 tbsp All-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp Butter

- 100 g Smoked bacon(diced (optional))

Soak the dried mushrooms in warm water for at least 30 minutes. Drain them, reserving the soaking liquid. Chop the rehydrated mushrooms.

In a large pot, combine the water, cubed potatoes, chopped mushrooms, and the strained mushroom soaking liquid. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until the potatoes are tender.
