  • 1 kg Lamb shoulder(cut into 5cm chunks)
  • 2 large Onions(chopped)
  • 3 medium Carrots(peeled and chopped)
  • 1 medium Swede (Rutabaga)(peeled and cubed)
  • 2 medium Parsnips(peeled and cubed)
  • 4 cloves Garlic(minced)
  • 1 liter Beef or Lamb stock
  • 50 ml Whisky(optional, for depth)
  • 2 tbsp Tomato puree
  • 2 sprigs Fresh thyme
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 2 tbsp Flour(for dusting lamb)
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black pepper
  • small bunch Fresh parsley(chopped, for garnish)
