- 1
In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Make a well in the center and crack in the eggs.
ð¡ ããã®ã³ã: Ensure eggs are at room temperature for easier mixing. - 2
Gradually add water while mixing with a fork or your hands until a stiff dough forms. Knead for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
â±ïž 5 minutesð¡ ããã®ã³ã: The dough should be firm, not sticky. Add more flour if too wet, or a tiny bit more water if too dry. - 3
Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil.
ð¡ ããã®ã³ã: Use plenty of water to prevent the haluÅ¡ky from sticking together. - 4
Using a halušky maker (or a colander with large holes, or by hand), press or drop small pieces of dough into the boiling water.
ð¡ ããã®ã³ã: Cook in batches to avoid overcrowding the pot. - 5
Cook the halušky until they float to the surface, then continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes. They should be tender but still have a slight bite.
â±ïž 5-7 minutesð¡ ããã®ã³ã: Taste a piece to ensure it's cooked through. - 6
Drain the cooked halušky well. In a separate pan, melt the butter over medium heat.
ð¡ ããã®ã³ã: Ensure the haluÅ¡ky are thoroughly drained to prevent a watery dish. - 7
Add the drained halušky to the melted butter along with the ground poppy seeds. Toss gently to coat evenly.
ð¡ ããã®ã³ã: Stir continuously to ensure the poppy seeds adhere well. - 8
Serve immediately, optionally dusted with powdered sugar.
ð¡ ããã®ã³ã: This dish is best enjoyed fresh.
ð¡ ããã®ã³ã
