A savory and tender beef stew, slow-cooked with vegetables in a rich tomato-based sauce, a staple comfort food in Salvadoran households.

- 1 kg Beef chuck roast(cut into 1-inch cubes)
- 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
- 1 medium Onion(chopped)
- 1 medium Bell pepper(chopped)
- 4 cloves Garlic cloves(minced)
- 15 oz Tomato sauce
- 2 cups Beef broth
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp Dried oregano
- 1 tsp Salt(or to taste)
- 1/2 tsp Black pepper(or to taste)
- 2 medium Potatoes(peeled and cubed)
- 2 medium Carrots(peeled and sliced)

Pat the beef cubes dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper.

Heat vegetable oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Brown the beef cubes in batches, then remove and set aside.
