  • 1 tbsp Paprika

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. 1

In a large bowl, toss the goat meat with olive oil, minced garlic, piri piri sauce, salt, and pepper. Marinate for at least 3-4 hours, or preferably overnight in the refrigerator.

💡 Tip: Marinating tenderizes the meat and infuses it with flavor.
  2. 2

Heat a large, heavy-bottomed pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add the marinated goat meat and brown it on all sides. This may need to be done in batches to avoid overcrowding the pot.

    ⏱️ 5-7 minutes
  3. 3

Add the chopped onions and bell peppers to the pot. Sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes.

Add the cubed potatoes and sweet potatoes, water or stock, and chouriço (if using). Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the goat meat is very tender.

    ⏱️ 1.5 - 2 hours
💡 Tip: Check periodically and add more liquid if the stew becomes too dry.

Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir well before serving.

💡 Tip: Adjust seasoning as needed.
