Malian Beef and White Bean Stew (Fasolia)
A hearty and comforting stew featuring tender beef and creamy white beans simmered in a rich tomato-based sauce with aromatic spices. This dish is a staple in many West African households, perfect for a satisfying meal.

- 500 g Beef stew meat(cut into 1-inch cubes)
- 250 g Great Northern beans or Cannellini beans(dried, soaked overnight and cooked, or 2 cans (15 oz each) drained and rinsed)
- 2 large Onions(chopped)
- 4 cloves Garlic(minced)
- 3 tablespoons Tomato paste
- 1 can (14.5 oz) Diced tomatoes(undrained)
- 4 cups Beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon Paprika
- 0.25 teaspoon Cayenne pepper(or to taste)
- 1 teaspoon Salt(or to taste)
- 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper(or to taste)
- 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil

Heat vegetable oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add beef cubes and brown on all sides. Remove beef and set aside.
