  • 400 ml Coconut milk(thick)
  • 200 ml Coconut milk(thin)
  • 2 medium Onions(sliced)
  • 2 medium Tomatoes(chopped)
  • 1 inch Ginger(grated)
  • 4 cloves Garlic(minced)
  • 2 medium Green chilies(slit lengthwise)
  • 10 sprigs Curry leaves
  • 1 inch Cinnamon stick
  • 3 pods Cardamom pods
  • 3 pieces Cloves
  • 2 tbsp Roasted curry powder
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Chili powder(or to taste)
  • 1 tbsp Tamarind paste(diluted in 2 tbsp water)
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
