- 1 cup Sweet potato(peeled and cubed)
- 1 cup Butternut squash(peeled and cubed)
- 1 cup Water
- 1 whole Vanilla pod(seeds scraped out, pod reserved)
- 0.25 cup Sweetener (birch xylitol or stevia)(or to taste)
- 0.5 tsp Cinnamon
- 1 tsp Agar-agar

Peel and cube the sweet potato and squash. Place them in a pot with water and the scraped vanilla seeds and the vanilla pod. Boil for 25-30 minutes, or until tender.

Remove the vanilla pod. Mash the cooked vegetables with a blender or fork until smooth.

Transfer the puree to a pot. Add the vanilla seeds, sweetener, and agar-agar. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the puree begins to thicken.
