Abenkwan, meaning 'palm nut soup' in the Akan language, is a rich, creamy, and deeply flavorful West African soup. Made from palm fruit concentrate, it's a celebratory dish often prepared with various meats and served with fufu or omo tuo.

- 1 kg Assorted meat (beef, goat, chicken)(cut into pieces)
- 200 g Smoked fish (mackerel or catfish)(cleaned and deboned)
- 3 medium Onions(2 blended, 1 sliced for garnish)
- 4 medium Tomatoes(fresh)
- 2 pieces Scotch bonnet pepper(adjust to taste)
- 4 cloves Garlic
- 1 inch piece Ginger
- 2 pieces Prekese (Aidan fruit)(optional, for aroma)
- 1 tbsp Salt(or to taste)
- 2 pieces Seasoning cubes (e.g., Maggi)(crumbled)
- 4 cups Water(or as needed)

In a large pot, combine the assorted meat with 1 sliced onion, salt, and seasoning cubes. Add enough water to cover the meat and bring to a boil. Cook until the meat is partially tender.
