🧂 Ingredients
- 4 x 150g Cod fillets(skinless and boneless)
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 2 cloves Garlic(minced)
- 2 tbsp Fresh dill(chopped)
- 2 tbsp Fresh parsley(chopped)
- 0.5 medium Lemon(juiced)
- to taste Salt
- to taste Black pepper
👨🍳 Instructions
- 1
Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and pepper.
- 2
Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat until the butter is melted and slightly foamy.
- 3
Carefully place the cod fillets in the hot skillet. Sear for 3-4 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until golden brown and cooked through. Avoid overcrowding the pan; cook in batches if necessary.
- 4
Remove the cod from the skillet and set aside on a plate, keeping warm.
- 5
Reduce the heat to medium. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- 6
Stir in the chopped dill, parsley, and lemon juice. Swirl the pan to combine the sauce.
- 7
Return the cod fillets to the skillet and spoon the herb sauce over them. Cook for another minute to heat through.
- 8
Serve immediately, with the pan sauce spooned over the fish. Pairs well with boiled potatoes or a simple green salad.
