🧂 Ingredients
- 1 medium Breadfruit(ripe, peeled, cored, and cut into chunks)
- 4 cups Water(for boiling)
- 1 can (12 oz) Evaporated milk
- 1/2 can (approx. 7 oz) Sweetened condensed milk(adjust to taste)
- 1/4 cup Sugar(optional, adjust to taste)
- 1/2 tsp Nutmeg(freshly grated)
- 1/4 tsp Cinnamon(ground)
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- for serving Ice cubes
👨🍳 Instructions
- 1
Place the breadfruit chunks in a pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
💡 Tip: A fork should easily pierce the breadfruit. - 2
Drain the cooked breadfruit and let it cool slightly.
💡 Tip: Discard the boiling water. - 3
In a blender, combine the cooked breadfruit, evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, optional sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, and vanilla extract.
💡 Tip: Start with less condensed milk and sugar, you can always add more. - 4
Blend until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. You may need to do this in batches depending on the size of your blender.
💡 Tip: Ensure no lumps of breadfruit remain. - 5
Taste and adjust sweetness and spices as needed. If the punch is too thick, you can add a little more evaporated milk or water.
💡 Tip: Chill thoroughly before serving for best flavor. - 6
Serve chilled over ice cubes. Garnish with a sprinkle of nutmeg or cinnamon if desired.
💡 Pro Tips
- ✓Use ripe breadfruit for a sweeter and creamier punch.
- ✓For a richer flavor, you can add a splash of rum extract.
- ✓Ensure all ingredients are well blended to achieve a smooth consistency.
🔄 Variations
- Add a few drops of almond extract for a different flavor profile.
- For a lighter version, use regular milk instead of evaporated milk, but the texture will be less creamy.
