  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1 or to taste Habanero pepper
  • 100 g Smoked fish (e.g., mackerel or catfish)
  • 1 tablespoon Crayfish (optional)
  • 1-2 Seasoning cubes

    Prepare the Kokonte: In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Gradually add the dried cassava flour while stirring continuously to prevent lumps. Continue stirring and kneading with a wooden spoon for about 5-10 minutes until a thick, smooth paste forms. Adjust water if needed for desired consistency. Shape into desired sizes and set aside.
