  • 3 medium Tomatoes(ripe, for blending)
  • 1 medium Yellow onion(finely chopped)
  • 2 medium Carrots(peeled and finely diced)
  • 2 cloves Garlic(minced)
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Cumin(ground)
  • 1/2 tsp Dried oregano(Mexican oregano preferred)
  • 1/4 cup Raisins(optional, for a touch of sweetness)

  • 1/2 cup Water or beef broth(as needed for simmering)
