- 2 tbsp Vegetable oil or bacon fat
- 1 cup Water or sauerkraut brine(as needed)
๐จโ๐ณ Instructions

Heat oil or bacon fat in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sautรฉ until softened, about 5-7 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
- 2
Add the cubed pork to the pot. Brown the pork on all sides, stirring occasionally. This should take about 10-15 minutes.

Bring the stew to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let it cook for at least 1 hour, or until the pork is tender. Stir occasionally, adding more liquid if it becomes too dry.
๐ก Tip: For a deeper flavor, you can simmer for up to 1.5 hours. - 6
