- 2 cups Bambara nuts(cooked until tender, then drained)
- 1 medium Onion(finely chopped)
- 2 medium Tomatoes(chopped)
- 2 cloves Garlic(minced)
- 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup Water(or as needed)

- 1 small Chili pepper(optional, finely chopped)

Mash the cooked bambara nuts using a mortar and pestle or a food processor until a coarse paste forms. Add a little water if needed to help with mashing.

Add the minced garlic and chopped tomatoes (and chili pepper, if using) to the pan. Cook for another 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the tomatoes have softened.
