- 1 inch piece Ginger(grated)
- 3 tbsp Vegetable oil
- 3 cups Water or fish broth
- 1 tbsp Tomato paste
- 1 tsp Cumin
- 0.5 tsp Coriander

Heat vegetable oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sautรฉ until softened, about 6-8 minutes.

Add the crushed tomatoes and tomato paste. Cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the tomatoes break down slightly.
