- 500 g Lamb or Beef(cut into 1.5-inch cubes)
- 3 tbsp Vegetable Oil
- 2 large Onions(chopped)
- 3 medium Carrots(peeled and cut into large chunks)
- 4 medium Potatoes(peeled and cut into large chunks)
- 400 g Tomatoes(diced or crushed)
- 1.5 l Water or Broth
- to taste Salt
- to taste Black Pepper
- 1/2 cup Fresh Dill(chopped, for garnish)
- 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley(chopped, for garnish)
- 1-2 tbsp Vinegar (optional)(for tanginess)

Heat vegetable oil in a large, heavy-bottomed pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Brown the meat on all sides. Remove the meat and set aside.

Add the chopped onions to the pot and sautรฉ until softened and lightly golden, about 5-7 minutes.

Add the carrots and potatoes to the pot and stir for a couple of minutes.

Return the browned meat to the pot. Add the diced tomatoes, water or broth, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
