๐ง Ingredients
- 500 g Pork shoulder or chicken thighs(cut into bite-sized pieces)
- 2 tsp Dried oregano
- 1 tsp Dried thyme
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Salt
- 0.5 tsp Black pepper
- 4 tbsp Olive oil
- 4 large Pita bread
- 2 medium Tomatoes(chopped)
- 1 medium Cucumber(chopped)
- 0.5 medium Red onion(thinly sliced)
- 1 cup Shredded lettuce
- 200 g French fries(cooked)
- 0.5 cup Tzatziki sauce
- 0.25 cup Ketchup
๐จโ๐ณ Instructions
- 1
In a bowl, combine the meat pieces with oregano, thyme, paprika, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Mix well to coat the meat evenly. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temperature, or longer in the refrigerator.

While the meat marinates, prepare the pita bread. If using homemade pita, prepare the dough according to your preferred recipe and bake until puffed and golden. If using store-bought, warm them slightly.
๐ก Tip: Homemade pita bread elevates the dish, but good quality store-bought pita works well too. - 3
Cook the marinated meat. You can grill it on skewers until cooked through and slightly charred, or pan-fry it in a skillet with the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat until browned and cooked through. If pan-frying, do it in batches to avoid overcrowding.

Prepare the toppings: chop the tomatoes and cucumber, thinly slice the red onion, and shred the lettuce. Cook the french fries according to package directions.
๐ก Tip: Fresh, crisp vegetables are key to a good sufllaqe. - 5
Assemble the sufllaqe: Carefully open each pita bread. Layer the bottom with cooked meat, followed by french fries, chopped tomatoes, cucumber, sliced red onion, and shredded lettuce. Drizzle generously with tzatziki sauce and ketchup.
๐ก Tip: Don't overstuff the pita, or it will be difficult to eat. - 6
Serve immediately while the meat and fries are still warm.
๐ก Tip: Sufllaqe is best enjoyed fresh.
