- 2 about 500g each Whole fish (e.g., sea bream, sea bass)(cleaned and scaled)
- 700 g Potatoes(peeled and cut into wedges)
- 2 large Lemons(1 juiced, 1 sliced)
- 100 ml Olive oil
- 4 cloves Garlic(thinly sliced)
- 2 tbsp Fresh oregano(chopped)
- 2 tbsp Fresh parsley(chopped)

- to taste Black pepper
- 100 ml Water or white wine

Preheat your oven to 200ยฐC (400ยฐF).

In a large baking dish, toss the potato wedges with half of the olive oil, sliced garlic, half of the oregano, salt, and pepper. Arrange them in a single layer.

Place the cleaned fish on top of the potatoes. Make a few shallow slashes on the sides of each fish.

In a small bowl, whisk together the lemon juice, the remaining olive oil, chopped oregano, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper. Pour this mixture over the fish and potatoes.

Add the lemon slices on top of the fish and pour the water or white wine into the bottom of the baking dish.

Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork, and the potatoes are tender and golden. Baste the fish and potatoes with the pan juices halfway through baking.
