A hearty and nutritious stew combining tender meat (often beef or goat), a medley of leafy greens, and protein-rich beans, simmered in a savory broth. This dish highlights the resourceful use of readily available ingredients in Zimbabwean cuisine.

- 750 g Beef or Goat Meat(cubed into 1-inch pieces)
- 3 tbsp Cooking Oil
- 2 medium Onions(chopped)
- 4 medium Tomatoes(chopped)
- 4 cloves Garlic(minced)
- 1 inch Ginger(grated)
- 6 cups Water or Beef Broth
- 200 g Dried Beans(such as black-eyed peas or kidney beans, soaked overnight and drained)
- 500 g Leafy Greens(such as spinach, rape, or covo, washed and roughly chopped)
- 2 tbsp Peanut Butter (optional)(for added richness)
- 1 tsp Salt(or to taste)
- 0.5 tsp Black Pepper(or to taste)

Heat the cooking oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Brown the meat on all sides. Remove the meat and set aside.

Add the chopped onions to the pot and sautรฉ until softened and translucent.

Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger, and cook for another minute until fragrant.

Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they begin to break down.

Return the browned meat to the pot. Pour in the water or beef broth, ensuring the meat is mostly submerged. Add the soaked and drained beans.
