๐ง Ingredients
- 600 g Chicken breast(cut into bite-sized pieces)
- 250 g Mushrooms(sliced)
- 1 medium Onion(finely chopped)
- 2 cloves Garlic(minced)
- 200 ml Heavy cream
- 100 ml Chicken broth
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 tbsp Flour
- 2 tbsp Fresh parsley(chopped, for garnish)
- to taste Salt
- to taste Black pepper
๐จโ๐ณ Instructions
- 1
Season chicken pieces with salt and pepper.
๐ก Tip: Ensure even seasoning for best flavor. - 2
Heat olive oil and 1 tbsp of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken until golden brown on all sides. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
- 3
Add the remaining 1 tbsp of butter to the skillet. Add chopped onion and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
๐ก Tip: Cook onion slowly to release its sweetness. - 4
Add minced garlic and sliced mushrooms to the skillet. Cook until mushrooms are tender and have released their liquid, about 5-7 minutes.
- 5
Sprinkle flour over the mushroom mixture and stir well. Cook for 1 minute to remove the raw flour taste.
- 6
Gradually whisk in the chicken broth and heavy cream. Bring the sauce to a simmer, stirring constantly until it thickens.
๐ก Tip: Whisk continuously to prevent lumps. - 7
Return the seared chicken to the skillet. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and tender.
๐ก Tip: Do not overcook the chicken to keep it moist. - 8
Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.
๐ก Tip: Taste and adjust seasoning before serving.
๐ก Pro Tips
- โFor a richer sauce, you can add a splash of white wine before the broth.
