- 1 large Onions(finely chopped)
- 5 cloves Garlic(minced)
- 1 inch piece Ginger(grated)
- 2 tbsp Curry powder
- 1 tsp Cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp Allspice powder
- 1/2 small Scotch bonnet pepper(finely minced (optional, adjust to taste))
- 2 tbsp Tomato paste
- 1/2 cup Beef broth
- to taste Salt
- to taste Black pepper
- 1/4 cup Fresh cilantro or chives(chopped, for garnish)

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or pot over medium-high heat. Add chopped onions and sautรฉ until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add minced garlic and grated ginger, sautรฉ for another minute until fragrant.

Add the ground beef to the pot and break it up with a spoon. Cook until browned, then drain off any excess fat.
